When the mine closed, the pieces were transitioned over to commercially available gold. We've been holding onto a few ounces of UP Gold™ for special occasions, and have decided to make five UP Gold U.P. Pendants for the 2017 holiday season. These pendants were hand crafted by Wattsson & Wattsson owner Chris Wattsson in our Marquette shop with UP Gold from the Ropes Gold Mine, and come with a certificate of authenticity.
Upper Peninsula Gold is stamped 14k UP Gold on the back of the pendant to distinguish it from commercially available gold.
