Meet Chris Wattsson - 2018 Art Week Featured Artist

Chris started working at Wattsson & Wattsson Jewelers in June 2001, the summer between his fifth and sixth grade year. Growing up, Chris spent countless hours at the store learning jewelry repair and design after school, on weekends and during summer vacation. Following graduation from the Marquette Alternative High School, Chris started working full time as a bench jeweler.

He is our custom jewelry designer and bench jeweler. He makes the Superior Line, our Upper Peninsula necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets. 

Chris is a licensed pyrotechnic and also works for Great Lakes Fireworks. He volunteers on the Marquette Fourth of July Celebration Committee

Meet Madeline Goodman - 2018 Art Week Featured Artist

Hello, my name is Madeline Goodman and I recently graduated from Northern Michigan University (NMU) with a degree in metals. I moved to Marquette because of the superior art program at the university and the surrounding beauty of the community. My work is inspired by nature the Upper Peninsula has to offer. I take elements of nature and turn them into wearable art/jewelry!  The processes I use are rolling emboss, lost wax casting and resin. I feel these techniques capture and compliment my findings in nature!
